Berlin is the most exciting city in Europe today. We will show you the sites you can't miss and tell you the fascinating story.....
Berlin certainly had a humble beginning: a Slavic fishing village built on a swamp. But over the past eight centuries it evolved into the cradle of Prussian power and the driving force behind Germany, as we know it. After World War 1 the city became a hotbed of arts and a beacon of tolerance; then, in the thirties, the centre one of the most infamous and deadly autocracies the world has ever seen.
The city’s partition in 1949 symbolised the Cold War; and the violent division enforced, in 1961, by the erection of the Berlin Wall captured the world’s attention and defined a generation.
Since the wall fell in 1989, Berlin is again the capital of a now unified Germany, a growing centre of innovation and a haven of the arts.
This tour takes in the sites that tell the story not just of this city, but of the events, people and moments that shaped the modern world:

- Hitler’s Bunker
- Checkpoint Charlie
- Memorial to the Murdered Jews in Europe
- Unter den Linden
- Potsdamer Platz
